Empowering Through Education: Ukrainian Universities’ Resilience Highlighted at MENDELU International Week 2024

During the International Week of MENDELU 2024, a significant event took place that deserves special attention. On April 9th, the workshop “Resilience of Universities: Ukrainian Cases” was held, featuring academics from seven Ukrainian universities of Dnipro, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, and Lutsk This event sparked immense interest among the participants of the international week, attracting representatives from universities in the Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Georgia, Israel, and Slovakia.

At the workshop, Ukrainian academics shared the unique experiences of their universities in maintaining the educational process during wartime. They discussed how they managed to continue academic activities, organize volunteer initiatives, and support the army despite all the difficulties. This exchange of knowledge and experience not only demonstrated the unwavering determination of the Ukrainian academic community but also made a significant contribution to the development of the concept of university resilience on an international level.

The participation of Ukrainian universities in such an event highlights their commitment to maintaining high educational standards even under the most challenging conditions, as well as their desire to share their invaluable experience with the global academic community.
