From October 14 to 18, 2024, 22 students from 9 universities representing 8 regions of Ukraine participated in the “Academic Writing and Integrity” program at Mendel University in Brno, as part of the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Universities: Czech-Ukrainian Partnership for Digital Education, Research Cooperation and Diversity Management.”
This hybrid academic mobility program started back in September, offering 2 credits for online learning and 1 credit for participation in intensive on-campus sessions at Mendel University. The program places significant emphasis on developing academic integrity skills, which are key elements in modern science and education.
What makes this program unique is its blended learning approach. It brings together students from different levels of study, creating opportunities for experience exchange, collaboration, and mentorship. Senior students and doctoral candidates can share their knowledge with younger peers, deepening their understanding of academic standards and research practices. This approach fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and collaboration, which are crucial for both academic and professional careers.
Students from the following universities participated in the program:
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv,
- Kremenchuk National University of Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi,
- Lutsk National Technical University,
- Kamianets-Podilskyi State Institute,
- Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics,
- Ternopil National Medical University,
- Alfred Nobel University in Dnipro,
- Chernihiv Polytechnic National University,
- Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.
This program helps strengthen academic ties between Ukrainian and Czech universities, upholding the principles of academic integrity and fostering a research culture among students.
