Productive Trip to Ukraine in June 2024

In June 2024, Natalia Tkalenko embarked on a business trip to Ukraine, during which she engaged in several activities and meetings aimed at fostering international collaboration between Ukrainian and Czech academic and HEIs.
During her business trip, Natalia Tkalenko actively collaborated with representatives from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Together with her Ukrainian colleagues, they prepared scientific articles for publication in prestigious international journals indexed in the Scopus and WoS databases. Additionally, they made substantial progress on a planned collective monograph, which will be a contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the strengthening of academic ties between the two countries. This effort aligns with some scheduled activities of project. On June 28, at the Department of Management and Administration of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Natalia Tkalenko conducted a seminar titled “Resilience of University: Case of Mendel University in Brno.” The goal was to improve diversity and inclusion while simultaneously enhancing the overall efficiency and adaptability of Ukrainian universities. The event was held in a hybrid format, with 16 faculty members attending onsite and 15 PhD students (online).
In addition to her academic collaborations, Natalia Tkalenko met with representatives from NGO PNRM in Lviv. This meeting focused on discussing future collaboration prospects and defining selection criteria for students to participate in the blended study of academic writing and integrity of bachelor’s, master’s and PhD students at Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU) starting in October 2024. This partnership will open new opportunities for Ukrainiane students, providing them with unique experiences and knowledge.
Furthermore, as part of the broader project goals, there is a focus on the Implementation of Diversity Management into the Corporate Governance System of Ukrainian Universities. This involves integrating diversity management practices to enhance the efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness of universities, and to improve the working environment and academic culture.
